Update: Your listing cards read better. The home page's latest properties use the same cards as your listings page, each status has its own colour, and the compare and favourite buttons are easier to tap on a phone.

Update: The add-on pages look finished on a phone too. The property manager's filters, its inquiries and bookings tables and the agent's profile form no longer run off the side of the screen. Their buttons, fields and tabs are at least 44px tall, and so are the share and brochure dialogs'. On a property page the title gets its own row, with the share, favourite, print and brochure buttons under it. Compare lines its row labels up with their values, and the listing's tax switch sits after the currency menu with its full label. The white text on the Latest module's photo cards sits on a darker shade, so it's readable on a bright photo, and the mortgage calculator's chart and legend line up with its fields. Your account pages, saved searches and favourites use the design's buttons instead of plain blue ones. On a phone the manager's lists and the compare table read well, and the slideshow listing shows its photo again. The PDF brochures look exactly as before.

Update: Every module layout looks finished in the Official design. The Latest module's compact list now shows small thumbnails with the price and address in a tidy card, where it used to show each photo at full size. The card slider no longer makes the page scroll sideways, the photo cards sit one per row on a phone, and the slideshow has previous and next buttons under the photo you can tap. City tiles show a location placeholder when a photo is missing, so you won't see a broken image. On a phone, the search and mortgage fields and buttons are at least 44px tall, and the banner search's dropdowns no longer shrink to a sliver.

Bugfix: The module settings screens show their labels in your language again. Labels such as Design, Load UI Kit, Current user, Grid and List, Select a property and Yes and No showed as raw codes like FWRE_THEME, in English and every other language.

Bugfix: Property pages use the full width, and the official design reads better on phones. On WordPress the property page, the agent profile and the listings don't fold into a narrow column any more. The home's latest properties line up with the rest of the page, their arrows sit under the cards, and the home doesn't scroll sideways. On a phone the sorting and currency choices fold behind one Ordering button so your listings show first, and every button on a property card is big enough to tap. A status like Available has the same colour on the card, the property page and the admin's property list. An agent without a photo gets a tidy placeholder, Compare shows where each property is, and an empty Compare page links back to the listings.

Bugfix: A price written in words shows again. A property with no number in its price, only a text such as "Price on request" or "0,70 EUR/m2", showed no price at all on its page, its listing card, its slideshow or its map pin. The text now prints on its own, and beside the number when both exist, as in version 6. The property list in the admin also shows each price with the site's own currency sign, on the side and with the digit grouping you chose, instead of a fixed dollar sign. The Latest Properties module prints the price text again when its "text price" option is on.

Prices in the latest-properties module match the rest of your site, in the same currency and number format visitors see everywhere else.

Its Layout setting now lists the layouts that exist. Choosing a layout is a list of what this module can actually render rather than a free text box, so a name that would not have been found cannot be entered. Modules already configured keep the layout they are set to.

Nothing about this add-on behaves differently. Its site templates now travel with the add-on itself rather than living in the design, so exactly the same markup is rendered from a different place. A design still has the last word: where a design offers its own version of a template, that version is used, as before, and a site that has customised one keeps every customisation.

⚠️ This version requires core 7.1.0, which is the release that knows to look inside an add-on for its templates. The add-ons catalogue will not offer it to an older core, so update the core first.

The rest of the release is work inside the source that a site cannot observe: the English catalogue was rewritten into the form the WordPress directory extracts translations from, and comments were shortened. The fifteen languages this add-on ships are unchanged.

The latest-properties module.

FW Real Estate 7.0 rebuilds the product on a new cross-platform engine. What this add-on does for you is unchanged — the features you use in 6.x are the features you get here. What is new is where it runs and how it reaches you:

• It runs on WordPress as well as Joomla, from the same code, so both editions stay in step.
• It has a version of its own. On Joomla that means it is delivered and updated from the store on that version, instead of arriving whenever the component happens to ship a release that bundles it. On WordPress it arrives inside the plugin if it is one of the free add-ons, or in the subscription pack it belongs to.
