Properties management console configuration and settings

With FW Real Estate agency the agents who are registered as users on your real estate website can manage properties via the front-end. The properties management console layout allows your agents to add/delete, publish/unpublish the properties, without a need to access the administrator area. In this tutorial, we will learn how to display and manage the front-end manager view.

We will proceed as follows:

How to display your Front-end manager

To display a Front-end manager, you need to create a menu item and assign properties Management Console layout to it. To learn how to create a menu item, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your administrator panel using your credentials.

  2. Locate Menus dropdown in the top menu of your Joomla control panel and click on it.

  3. Choose Main Menu => Add New Menu Item from the dropdown.

  1. Locate Menu Title textbox and enter Front-end manager into it.

To assign a properties Management Console layout to a newly created item, follow the steps below:

  1. Locate Details tab.

  2. Locate Menu Item Type field and click Select.

  3. Locate FW RE Agency dropdown and choose properties Management Console layout from the list.

After you are done, your screen should look similar to the screenshot below.

How to manage properties via Front-end manager

Let’s review how to manage the properties in action. First, let's learn how to add a new property, follow the steps below:

  1. Click New button.

  2. Click Save button.

Now, let's learn how to delete a property in a few clicks:

  1. Locate the property you want to delete.

  2. Check it.

  3. Click Delete button.

You can publish/unpublish the property in either of two ways:

  • Locate the property you want to publish/unpublish.

  • Locate Published column.

  • Click Publish/Unpublish button.

or

  • Check it.

  • Click Publish/Unpublish button above the list of properties.

If you want to display the property as featured, follow the steps below:

  1. Locate the property you want to display as featured.

  2. Locate Featured property column.

  3. Click the button with the star icon.

As a result, the property will appear at the very top of the search results page.

You can edit a property in either of two ways:

  • Locate the property you want to edit.

  • Click on the image of the property or its address.

or

  • Locate the property you want to edit.

  • Check it.

  • Click Edit button above the list of properties.
