To display a menu item, you need to create a menu item and assign properties listing layout to it. To learn how to create a menu item, follow the steps below:
Log in to your administrator panel using your credentials.
Locate Menus dropdown in the top menu of your Joomla control panel and click on it.
Choose Main Menu => Add New Menu Item from the dropdown.
To assign a properties Listing layout to a newly created item, follow the steps below:
Locate Details tab.
Locate Menu Item Type field and click Select.
Locate FW RE Agency dropdown and choose properties Listing layout from the list.
After you are done, your screen should look similar to the screenshot below.

The properties Listing layout has a variety of options for configuring your properties listing view. You can choose to display properties by a particular country, category, agent, etc. You can also choose to display or hide lease filter, availability filter, property categories, and many more. To configure the properties Listing layout, follow the steps below:
Navigate to Options tab.
Locate Country dropdown and choose USA from the list. Thus, you indicate that only US property will be displayed for List View menu item.
Locate Region dropdown and leave it empty. Thus, you indicate that the property belonging to all US regions will be displayed for List View menu item.
Mouse over City dropdown and leave it empty. Thus, you indicate that the property belonging to all US cities will be displayed for List View menu item.
Go to Category dropdown and choose Flats for sale from the list. Thus, the properties belonging to the specified category will be displayed for List View menu item.
Locate Property Type dropdown and select Flats from the list. Thus, the properties belonging to the specified type will be displayed for List View menu item.
Mouse over Status dropdown and choose All. Thus, the properties with all available statuses will be displayed for List View menu item.
Locate Agent dropdown and choose All. Thus, the properties from all agents will be displayed for that particular menu item. To learn how to add agent, review Agent tutorial.
Locate Layout field and choose List. Thus, the list view will be displayed by default. You can change a layout via the front-end. To learn how to manage properties via the front-end, review Front-end tutorial.
Locate Featured only field and choose No.
Locate Display Lease Filter and choose Yes.
Mouse over Availability filter and choose Yes. Thus, you add the ability to search for properties available for a specific period of time. Just enter a start and end date of the rental period and get the list of available properties.
Locate Hide Property Categories field and choose No.
Locate Description length textbox and enter 200 into it. Thus, you limit the number of description symbols.
Locate properties Limit textbox and enter 12 into it. Thus, you limit the number of properties displayed per page.
Click Save button. Your screen should look similar to the screenshot below.
Having saved all settings for List View menu item, go to the front-end and review how it is displayed. With these settings, your screen should look similar to the screenshot below:
