Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I get Trestle API access?

Create an account at trestle.mlsmatrix.com and request access for your participating MLS board. CoreLogic requires MLS membership verification before issuing OAuth client credentials. Approval typically takes 1–2 weeks.

  • What US MLS boards are available through Trestle?

Trestle covers MLS boards that license the CoreLogic Matrix platform. Available boards depend on your membership. Log in to the Trestle portal to view the boards accessible under your credentials.

  • Does Trestle support commercial and rental listings in addition to residential?

Yes. Trestle exposes multiple resource classes per MLS board. The connector lets you select which classes to import. Residential, Commercial, and Rental classes are imported in separate passes and merged into your FW Real Estate property list.

  • How does incremental sync work?

After the initial full import the plugin records a timestamp. On each subsequent run it requests only records modified after that timestamp, drastically reducing API calls and import time. The full property list stays current without re-importing everything.

  • Can I run Trestle and another MLS connector on the same FW Real Estate site?

Yes. Each connector plugin operates independently. Properties are identified by their MLS key so there is no collision between feeds. You can run Trestle alongside RETS or MLS Grid on the same installation if your market requires multiple data sources.

FWRE Trestle Connector Changelog

Version 2.1.4 (18 Sep 2026)

No change to how this add-on behaves. Released together with FW Real Estate 7.1.4 so that the update server holds the current build.

Version 2.1.3 (15 Sep 2026)

The default field mapping now uses standard RESO field names.

A new mapping starts from fields a RESO feed can send, among them stories, lot size in square feet, the elementary school district, pets allowed, lease term, and gross income, operating expense and cap rate for investment listings.

A mapping you have already saved is not changed. Your field choices stay exactly as you set them.

Version 2.1.2 (02 Sep 2026)

No change to how this add-on behaves. Nothing a site can observe is different: the English catalogue was rewritten into the form the WordPress directory extracts translations from, and comments inside the code were shortened. The fifteen languages this add-on ships are unchanged.

Published so that what the update server holds matches the product exactly.

Version 2.1.1 (25 Aug 2026)

The categories this feed imports into now survive an upgrade from version 6. Everything in the property catalogue was renumbered by the upgrade, and this add-on's category settings still held the old numbers — which in the new catalogue belong to entirely different entries. The importer did not report anything wrong: it ran, and filed every property under nothing at all, so listings arrived and appeared in no category.

The settings are now re-pointed when the add-on is installed. Where a category no longer exists, that part of the feed is switched off rather than guessed at, so the importer tells you it needs configuring instead of importing into limbo.

Requires FW Real Estate 7.0.4 or newer. Update the component first: on an older one this add-on installs and the re-pointing simply does not happen, with nothing to show for it.

Version 2.1.0 (23 Aug 2026)

Photographs are imported again. A listing brought in by this feed arrives with its images, as it did before the 7.0 rebuild. Photographs are fetched only for a property that has none, or when the run is set to update existing records, so a routine import does not re-download what you already have — and a photograph that fails to arrive no longer counts as a failed listing.

  • Your category and status mapping survives an upgrade. The add-on now records which of its settings hold a lookup value, so an upgrade no longer leaves incoming listings filed under a stale category.

Requires FW Real Estate 7.0.2 or newer. Update the component or plugin first; this add-on will not install onto an older one.

Version 2.0.0 (17 Aug 2026)

The Trestle (CoreLogic RESO) feed importer.

FW Real Estate 7.0 rebuilds the product on a new cross-platform engine. What this add-on does for you is unchanged — the features you use in 6.x are the features you get here. What is new is where it runs and how it reaches you:

  • It runs on WordPress as well as Joomla, from the same code, so both editions stay in step.
  • It has a version of its own. On Joomla that means it is delivered and updated from the store on that version, instead of arriving whenever the component happens to ship a release that bundles it. On WordPress it arrives inside the plugin if it is one of the free add-ons, or in the subscription pack it belongs to.

See the component release notes for the 7.0 story and for how to bring your data across.
