Do I need VirtueMart already installed to use this plugin?
Yes. FW Virtuemart Rental is a plugin that adds rental features on top of an existing VirtueMart store in Joomla. After installing the plugin you add a custom field to your VirtueMart products (type: Plug-ins, with FW Virtuemart Rental Plugin selected) to turn any product into a rental item.

What does the plugin add to my store?
It gives you stock control for rental items, a flexible rental pricing table, deposit and insurance settings, and pickup and return date calendars on the product page.

Do customers check out differently for rentals?
No. Rentals go through your store's standard VirtueMart checkout, so there is nothing new for customers to learn and no separate cart to manage.

Is this a one-time purchase or a subscription?
FW Virtuemart Rental is sold as an annual subscription (the Start and Medium plans, which differ in the number of websites, add-ons and support response). Every subscription includes free updates for all add-ons while it is active, and if your subscription expires the plugin and its add-ons remain functional with the version you have.

Does it work with WordPress or WooCommerce?
No. FW Virtuemart Rental is built for Joomla with the VirtueMart component and is not available for WordPress.

What does the FWVR Rental Dates module do, and do I need it?
FWVR Rental Dates is an optional companion module. On a rental category page it shows the maximum rental period across the listed products, and when a visitor picks dates it updates stock so only items actually available for those dates are shown. It is an add-on unlocked by an active subscription and is not required for the core plugin to work.
