FW Rental for WooCommerce tutorial for WordPress

Charges

The Charges section of the Rental tab lets you add fixed amounts on top of the per-day rental price. There are three separate charge fields. Any charge left at zero is ignored entirely — it does not appear to the customer and is not added to the cart.

  • Base price — A flat amount added once per rental, regardless of how long the rental is.
  • Deposit — A flat amount added once per rental. It is shown to the customer as refundable everywhere it appears: on the product page, in the cart, at checkout, and in order emails.
  • Insurance — An optional amount offered to the customer as a choice. The customer can accept or decline it. When accepted, it is added once to the rental total.

Each charge has its own description field directly beneath it. Text you enter there appears under that specific charge on the product page and nowhere else. The deposit description appears under the deposit, the insurance description under the insurance, and so on. These fields are independent of each other.

Comments

The Comments field is free text that appears with the rental options on the product page. Use it for information that is not a number: what is included in the rental, what the customer should bring, how collection or return works, and any other practical detail the customer needs before booking.
