From a fresh installation to a working rental product takes under ten minutes. The shop-wide settings have sensible defaults, so you can skip most of them on the first pass.
Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Rental. Every setting on this screen ships with a default that works, so for a first product you can read through, leave everything as it is, and move on. A full explanation of each option is in the Shop Settings reference.
That reveals the price chart and the rest of the rental fields.
The price chart needs at least one row before you can save. Add a row and fill it in like this:
Leaving To empty on the last row means the tier covers every rental of one day or longer, with no upper limit. That open-ended row is what allows a shopper to book for any duration without hitting a pricing gap.
Click Update. If everything is in order, the rental configuration is saved and the product page immediately offers a date picker to shoppers.
If the chart has a problem — a gap between ranges, or two rows whose ranges overlap — the product is saved without the rental configuration and the Rental tab comes straight back with the failing fields marked and a plain summary at the top explaining what was not saved. Fix the marked fields and save again.
Visit the product page. The rental form appears inside WooCommerce's add-to-cart area: a calendar for picking dates, the price chart with the matching tier highlighted as dates change, and a running summary of the period and cost. No further configuration is needed to reach this point.
When you are ready to go further — adjusting lead times, controlling how unpaid orders hold dates, or adding a deposit or booking fee — those options are covered in the Shop Settings and Making a Product Rentable sections.
