Color
The FWFM Color addon adds color and background customization fields to both category and menu item edit forms, letting you style your menu directly from the admin panel without touching CSS files.
Use Cases
- Category differentiation — assign a distinct background color to each menu section so guests can instantly identify categories (for example, blue for drinks, red for mains).
- Meal highlights — draw attention to promoted items such as a Chef's Special or seasonal dishes by applying a unique background or border style.
- Brand matching — align your menu's color scheme with your restaurant's brand palette without editing any template files.
Category Color Fields
When the addon is active, two additional fields appear in the category edit form.

Menu Item Color Fields
Five additional fields appear in the menu item edit form, giving you granular control over each meal card's appearance.

| Background image | Specifies a background image for the meal card by URL. |

How It Works
Color values are selected via a color picker in the admin and stored as hex values. The addon generates inline CSS and injects it directly into the menu output, so applied colors take the highest priority and override any template stylesheet rules. If no color is set for a given field, the template's default styles apply unchanged. Background images are referenced by URL from the media library.
