Sushi Design

FW Food Menu tutorial for WordPress

Sushi Design Template

The Sushi Design template applies a clean, minimal visual theme to FW Food Menu, styled for sushi bars, Japanese restaurants, and pan-Asian dining venues. The aesthetic emphasizes food photography, using an uncluttered card-based layout that keeps the focus on your menu items and images.

Ideal Use Cases

  • Sushi bars and Japanese restaurants
  • Pan-Asian dining establishments
  • Any venue where a minimal, food-photography-focused presentation suits the brand

Activating the Sushi Design Template

  1. Install the Sushi Design addon via FW Food Menu → Addons.
  2. Enable the plugin in the WordPress Plugin Manager.
  3. Open FW Food Menu → Settings → General and set Theme to Sushi.

Only one design template can be active at a time. Activating the Sushi template will replace any previously active design template.

What the Template Covers

The Sushi Design template provides styled overrides for all major areas of FW Food Menu output:

  • Menu listing — A clean card grid layout with a food-photography focus
  • Item detail — A styled single-item detail page
  • Module templates — Visual styling applied to FW Food Menu module output
  • Pagination — Themed pagination controls
  • Plugin overrides — Visual integration with the Cart and Image plugins

Recommended Setup

The Sushi Design template works best when the Image plugin is active and high-quality food photographs are uploaded to your menu items. Without images, the card grid layout will still function, but the visual impact of the theme is significantly reduced.
