FW Real Estate tutorial for Joomla!

Localization configuration and settings

Do you want measures/currencies/prices/dates to be shown in the format of your choice? With FW Real Estate you can set back-end and front-end currency, different price formats for different languages, lot/building sizes measures, and more. In this tutorial, we will learn how to configure a currency/prices/dates format with FW Real Estate.

We will proceed as follows:

How to configure dates/measures/prices

First, let’s locate dates/measures/prices.

  1. Log in to your administrator panel using your credentials.

  2. Locate Components dropdown in the top menu of your Joomla control panel and click on it.

  3. Choose FWRE Agency Realtor=>Settings from the list.

  1. Switch to the General tab.

  2. Locate Localization groupbox.

  3. Locate Date format dropdown and choose Y-m-d from the list.

Now. lets set sizes' measures.

  1. Mouse over Lot Size Measure dropdown choose acres.

  2. Locate Building Size Measuredropdown and choose sq ft.

  3. Locate Living Area Measure dropdown and choose sq ft.

  4. Locate Room Size Measure dropdown and choose ft.

Having configured sizes' measures, let's configure prices format.

  1. Go to the Digits Grouping section and set prices format from here.

  1. Click Save button. Your screen should look similar to the screenshot below.

How to set currency

The prices are calculated with regard to the specified back-end and front-end currencies. To set back-end and front-end currencies, do the following.

  1. Locate Localization groupbox following steps 1-5 from the section above.

  2. Locate Back-end currency and select from the list.

  3. Locate Front-end currency and select € from the list.

Now, let's learn how to edit/add currency. To edit/add currency, proceed as follows:

  1. Go to the Dictionaries section.

  2. Choose Currency category from the dictionaries dropdown.

  3. Locate the currency you need and click on it or click New button to add a new currency.

  1. Locate Field Parameters section.

  2. Locate the Currency Code and enter the code of the currency you want to add.

  1. Go to the Currency update field. This option allows specifying currency update mode.
  • If a manual update is used, locate Exchange/Cross rate field and enter the exchange/cross rate here. Fill in Exchange/Cross rate field only in case a Manual currency update mode is used.

  • If an automated currency update is used, set this field as Yes.
  1. Enter the currency sign.

  2. Set the place for the currency sign.

  3. Click Save button. Your screen should look similar to the screenshot below.

Once the settings are saved, go to the front-end to see how it is displayed.
