FW Food Menu – Documentation

The FWFM Tables addon adds dine-in ordering support to FW Food Menu. When active, guests can select their table number at checkout, and that information is saved with the order so staff know where to deliver the food.

Use Cases

• Dine-in ordering — guests scan a QR code at their table, browse the menu, and place an order that includes their table number for staff reference.
• Table management — administrators maintain a list of available tables; only published tables are shown to guests at checkout.

Managing Tables

Once the addon is active, a Tables section appears in the FW Food Menu admin menu. Each table record has two fields:

• Table name/number — the label shown to the guest at checkout (for example, "Table 5" or "Bar Seat 3").
• Status — set to Published to make the table available for selection, or Unpublished to hide it.

Only published tables appear in the dropdown that guests see during checkout.

Checkout Integration

This addon requires the Cart plugin to be active. When both are enabled, the checkout form gains a Dine In option alongside Delivery and Pickup. Selecting Dine In reveals a Table dropdown listing all published tables.

The selected table is saved with the order and displayed in the admin Orders list. All three checkout options — Delivery, Pickup, and Dine In — can coexist when the Delivery addon is also active; the guest chooses one at the time of ordering.

Note that tables are not locked or reserved when selected. If needed, staff should manage simultaneous orders for the same table manually.

Settings

One setting related to this addon is found under Settings → Orders:

• Show dine-in option — enables or disables the Dine In choice at checkout. Disable this if you want to temporarily remove the option without uninstalling the addon.
