FW Gallery tutorial for WordPress
The FWG Carousel module displays gallery images as a horizontal scrolling strip with multiple thumbnails visible at once and next/previous navigation controls. Unlike a slideshow that presents one image at a time, the Carousel keeps several images on screen simultaneously and scrolls through them as a group.
Use Cases
- Related images strip — show thumbnails from a specific gallery beneath your main content.
- Featured images row — highlight selected or recent images in a compact scrollable band.
- Homepage showcase — present images from one or more galleries in a single horizontal row.
Adding the Carousel to a Page or Widget
Assign the module to any theme position via Extensions → Modules → FWG Carousel. Select your source gallery, configure the parameters described below, and save. The module renders wherever the assigned position appears in your theme.
Module Parameters

| Autoplay interval (ms) | — | Time in milliseconds between automatic scrolls. Only applies when Autoplay is enabled. |
Notes
- The carousel requires JavaScript. Visitors with JavaScript disabled will see a static set of images without scroll controls.
- Sorting by Popular requires the Vote addon to be active; if it is not, ordering falls back to the default.
