To add a new property, go to FW Real Estate → Properties in the Joomla administrator and click New. The property edit form opens with several tabs containing all the fields you need.
Start on the main tab. Enter a Title — this becomes the property headline and is used to auto-generate the URL alias. Then select the Type (e.g. House, Apartment) and Status (e.g. For Sale, For Rent) from their respective dropdowns. Enter a numeric value in the Price field. By default price is optional, but you can make it required under Settings → Properties → Price field required.
The Type, Status, and Category dropdowns are populated from the Dictionaries section. You do not need to set these up in advance — you can add new values on the fly directly from the property form without leaving the page.

The form includes built-in address fields: Country, Region, City, Street, and ZIP. These are linked to the Location dictionaries and can also accept values added on the fly. If you have the Map View plugin installed, a coordinate picker appears on the Location tab, letting you place a pin or geocode the address to set precise latitude and longitude.
Use the Description field to write a full property description. The field uses a WYSIWYG editor, so you can format text, add headings, and include links.
Open the Gallery tab to upload photos. Drag and drop image files onto the upload area, or use the file picker. Once uploaded, you can drag images to reorder them — the first image is used as the listing thumbnail.

Before saving, set Published to Yes on the edit form — this field is separate from the Save action itself. If you save without setting it, the property will not appear on the frontend. You can also toggle the published state later directly from the Properties list without reopening the form.
Click Save or Save & Close to store the property. No fields are mandatory by default (aside from Title, Status, and Type, which must be set for the property to display on the frontend), so you can save a draft and return to complete it later.
Depending on which plugins you have installed, the property form may include additional tabs and fields:
