FWRE Mortgage Calculator
The FWRE Mortgage Calculator module gives visitors an interactive tool to estimate monthly loan payments directly on your site. Default values are pre-filled from the module parameters, but visitors can edit every field in real time and see results update instantly without a page reload. An amortization schedule below the calculator breaks down principal and interest payments across the full loan term, displayed either monthly or yearly.
Use Cases
- Property detail sidebar — place the calculator on the property detail page so buyers can immediately run payment estimates against the listed price.
- Homepage financing widget — embed it on the homepage to engage first-time buyers exploring what they can afford before browsing listings.
- Standalone calculator page — assign the module to a full-content position to create a dedicated financing tools page.
Creating a Module Instance
Go to Extensions → Modules → New and select FWRE Mortgage Calculator from the module type list. Give it a title, assign it to a position, and configure the parameters below.

| Annual hazard insurance rate (%) | 0.5 | Default hazard insurance rate, shown when the field is not hidden. |
| Hide monthly mortgage insurance | No | Remove the private mortgage insurance (PMI) field from the calculator. |

| Amortization schedule | Yearly | Display the breakdown table by month or by year. |
| Position on property page | Right | Where the calculator appears on the single property detail page: Hide, Right, or Bottom. |
Email This Scenario
Visitors can enter their email address to receive the current mortgage calculation by email, including the rate, term, monthly payment, and a summary amortization table. The email subject and body are configurable in the module parameters.
Notes
- All calculator fields are interactive — any value can be changed and results update instantly without a page reload.
- When Position on property page is set to Right or Bottom, the module is automatically embedded in the property detail view by the active design template. No manual module position assignment is needed for the property page.
- Default values are for reference only — visitors can override every field.
