FW Real Estate – Documentation

The FWRE Featured addon adds a Featured flag to your properties, letting you pin promoted or highlighted listings to the top of search results and display a visual badge on their property cards.

What Featured Adds

• A Featured toggle on every property, settable from the property list or the property edit form.
• A visual Featured badge (ribbon or label, depending on your design template) displayed on property cards in the frontend.
• An option to pin featured properties to the top of all listing pages, regardless of the active sort order.
• Filtering support in the Latest module and Layout Anywhere module, so you can display only featured properties in widgets and embedded layouts.
• Time-bound featured periods — set a start date and expiry date per property so featured status activates and expires automatically.
• Per-property click-through rate and save-rate analytics, accessible from the property list and the property edit form.

Marking a Property as Featured

There are two ways to mark a property as featured. In FW Real Estate → Properties, click the star icon in the Featured column to toggle the status instantly — no need to open the property.

Alternatively, open the property edit form and use the Featured toggle in the publishing panel. There is no limit to how many properties can be marked as featured at one time.

Settings

Open Settings → Addons tab → Featured card to configure the addon.

• Featured on top — when set to Yes, featured properties always appear before non-featured properties in the listing, overriding the default ordering setting. Featured properties are sorted among themselves by the default ordering; non-featured properties follow after.

Frontend Display

When a property is marked as featured, its card shows a Featured badge. If Featured on top is enabled, those properties appear at the beginning of every listing page.

The Latest module and Layout Anywhere module both support filtering to show only featured properties, making it straightforward to build homepage widgets or sidebar blocks that surface only your promoted listings.

Automatic Featured Periods

Each property can have a start date and expiry date for its featured status. The system activates featured status on the start date and removes it when the expiry date passes, eliminating manual toggling for time-limited promotions.

Analytics

The admin panel tracks click-through rate and save-rate statistics for each featured property, showing how often the featured badge led to a property page visit or a save action. These statistics are accessible from both the property list and the individual property edit form.
