FW Real Estate – Documentation

The FWRE Compare Properties addon lets visitors select multiple properties and view them side-by-side in a comparison table. Each property's fields appear in aligned rows so differences stand out at a glance.

Frontend Behavior

Once the addon is active, a Compare checkbox or button appears on each property card in the listing view. Visitors select two to four properties, then click Compare to open the full comparison table.

The comparison table displays all standard property fields and custom fields in rows, with one column per property. Fields that have no value for any compared property are shown as — or hidden, depending on the active design template. The visitor's selection is stored in a browser session cookie, so it persists across page navigation within the same visit.

Settings

This addon has no configurable settings panel. The compare feature is enabled automatically on property listing pages once the addon is active.

Additional Features

• Share Comparison — A shareable URL is generated for the current comparison set. Anyone opening the link will see the same properties in the comparison table, with no login required.
• Winner Highlighting — Numeric rows such as price, area, and bedrooms automatically highlight the best value in each column using a distinct background color.
• Synchronized Gallery — Scrolling the photo row in the comparison table moves all property columns to the same image index simultaneously.
• Mortgage-Payment Row — An estimated monthly mortgage payment row is added to the comparison table, calculated from each property's price using the Mortgage Calculator plugin settings. Requires the Mortgage Calculator addon to be installed and configured.
• Email Lead Capture — Visitors can provide their email address to receive the comparison by email. Captured contacts are stored in FW Real Estate → Messages as leads.
