FW Real Estate – Documentation

The FWRE Agents addon adds agent profile management to FW Real Estate. It lets you create agent records, assign properties to individual agents, display an agents directory on the frontend, and show an agent contact card on each property detail page.

What the Addon Adds

• Agents directory — a frontend listing page showing all published agents with photo, name, property count, and contact details.
• Agent profile page — a full single-agent page with bio, photo, contact information, and the agent's property listings.
• Agent block on property pages — a contact card displayed in the sidebar or below the property description when an agent is assigned.
• Agent management in admin — a dedicated FW Real Estate → Agents section for creating and editing agent records.

Agent Profile Fields

Each agent record includes the following fields:

• Linked user account — connects the agent to an existing Joomla user, enabling frontend login via the User Section.
• First / Last name — the agent's display name.
• Photo — agent portrait image.
• Company and Company logo — agency or office name and logo.
• Phone and Email — contact details (email can differ from the Joomla account email).
• Description — full biography using the HTML editor.
• Position / Title — job title such as Senior Agent or Branch Manager.
• Social links — Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn profile URLs.
• Published — controls frontend visibility.

Addon Settings

Settings are found under Settings → Addons tab → Agents.

• Agents list limit — number of agents shown per page on the Agents Listing view.
• Agent approval — set to Manually to require admin publishing before a new agent appears on the frontend, or Automatically to activate registrations instantly.
• Agent profile block — show or hide the agent contact card on single property pages.
• Agent position on property — controls where the agent block appears: Right (sidebar), Bottom, or Hide.
• Agents page menu item — select the Agents Listing menu item used for "View all agents" links throughout the component.

Frontend Views

Create the agents directory via a Joomla menu item of type FW Real Estate → Agents Listing, and individual agent pages via FW Real Estate → Agent Profile.

When a property has an assigned agent and the agent block is enabled, a contact card appears on the property detail page in the configured position.

Important Warning

Deleting an agent record permanently deletes the linked Joomla user account. This action cannot be undone. If you only want to remove an agent from the frontend, set the agent record to Unpublished instead of deleting it.
