FW Real Estate – Documentation

The FWRE Agents addon adds a full agent management layer to FW Real Estate. It lets you create agent profiles, assign agents to property listings, display an agents directory on the frontend, and show an agent contact card on individual property pages.

What It Adds

• Agent profiles — photo, bio, contact details, social links, and company information stored against a Joomla user account.
• Property assignment — each property can be linked to one agent, so visitors know who to contact.
• Agents listing page — a browsable directory of all published agents, created via a Joomla menu item.
• Agent block on property pages — a contact card displayed in the sidebar or below the property description.

Agent Profile Fields

Open FW Real Estate → Agents and create or edit an agent record. The following fields are available:

• Linked user account — connects the agent to an existing Joomla user
• First / Last name — display name shown on the frontend
• Photo — portrait image
• Company / Company logo — agency name and logo
• Phone / Email — contact details (email can differ from the Joomla account email)
• Description — full biography, supports HTML
• Position / Title — job title such as Senior Agent or Branch Manager
• Social links — Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn URLs
• Published — controls frontend visibility

Addon Settings

Go to Settings → Addons tab → Agents to configure the following options:

• Agents list limit — number of agents displayed per page on the Agents Listing view.
• Agent approval — set to Manually to require admin publishing before a new agent becomes visible, or Automatically to activate new registrations immediately.
• Agent profile block — show or hide the agent contact card on single property pages.
• Agent position on property — place the agent block in the Right sidebar, at the Bottom of the page, or Hide it entirely.
• Agents page menu item — select the menu item for your Agents Listing page; this powers "View all agents" links throughout the component.

Frontend Views

The Agents Listing page shows all published agents with their photo, name, property count, and contact information. Create it via a Joomla menu item using the type FW Real Estate → Agents Listing.

The Agent Profile page shows a single agent's full bio, photo, contact details, and their property listings. Create it via FW Real Estate → Agent Profile.

When a property has an assigned agent and the Agent profile block setting is enabled, a contact card appears on the property detail page at the position you have configured.

Important: Deleting an Agent

Deleting an agent record permanently deletes the linked Joomla user account. This action cannot be undone. If you only want to hide an agent from the frontend, set their profile to Unpublished rather than deleting the record.

Notes

• An agent must be linked to a Joomla user account to allow frontend login through the User Section.
• When the addon is disabled, the agent assignment field disappears from the property form, but existing agent data is preserved in the database.
• If Agent approval is set to Manually, new agent accounts appear as unpublished in the admin and must be published before they are visible on the frontend.
