FW Real Estate – Documentation

The FWRE Property Manager addon gives agents and registered users a frontend portal to submit and manage their own property listings — no Joomla administrator access required. Site administrators retain full oversight and can review every submission before it goes live.

What It Adds

When this addon is active, logged-in users with the appropriate permissions see a My Properties section inside the frontend User Section. From there they can:

• View all their own listings along with each property's publish status
• Add a new property using a full property edit form
• Edit or delete their existing properties

Requirements

The User Section must be accessible to agents via a Joomla menu item set to type FW Real Estate → User Section. Permissions controlling who can submit properties are managed through Joomla's ACL under Component Options → Permissions.

Agent Submission Workflow

1. An agent logs in to the frontend and opens the User Section.
2. They click to add a new property and complete the submission form.
3. The property is saved and appears in FW Real Estate → Properties in the Joomla admin, where an administrator can review, edit, and publish or unpublish it.
4. If Notify about new property is enabled, the admin receives an email immediately upon submission. If disabled, the admin must check the properties list manually for new submissions.

Settings

The following setting is available under Settings → Addons:

• Notify about new property — when set to Yes, sends an email notification to the administrator each time an agent submits a new property through the User Section. Defaults to No.

Inquiry Inbox

Agents can view all contact form submissions received for their properties in a dedicated inbox within the Property Manager User Section. Each inquiry displays the buyer's name, message, and timestamp.

Saved-Search Match Notifications

When a newly listed property matches a buyer's active saved search, the agent who owns that property receives an email notification. This allows agents to track organic interest in their listings.

Bulk Operations

The property list supports multi-select checkboxes so agents can act on multiple listings at once. Available bulk actions include Feature/Unfeature and Publish/Unpublish.

Quick Inline Edit

Agents can edit Price, Status, and Available From directly in the property list without opening the full edit form. Clicking a field value activates the inline editor, and changes are saved without a page reload.
