Property Manager

FW Real Estate tutorial for Joomla!

The FWRE Property Manager addon gives registered users and agents a frontend portal to submit and manage their own property listings. No Joomla administrator access is required — agents log in to the site frontend and work entirely within the My Properties section.

What It Adds

When the addon is active, logged-in users with appropriate permissions see a My Properties area inside the frontend User Section. From there they can:

  • View all their own listings along with each property's publish status
  • Add new properties using a full property edit form
  • Edit or delete their existing listings

User Section Menu Item

The My Properties section is part of the User Section page. To make it accessible on your site, create a Joomla menu item of type FW Real Estate → User Section. Any logged-in user who visits that page and has the correct permissions will see their property management tools there.

Agent Submission Workflow

  1. An agent logs in to the frontend and navigates to the User Section page.
  2. They use the Add property form to enter listing details and submit.
  3. The submitted property appears in the FW Real Estate → Properties list in the Joomla admin, where it can be reviewed before publication.
  4. The administrator edits, approves, and publishes the listing — or rejects it — without any input from the agent.

Each agent can only see and manage their own listings. Administrators have visibility across all agent submissions.

Settings

Addon settings are found under FW Real Estate → Settings → Addons.

SettingDefaultDescription
Notify about new property No When set to Yes, the administrator receives an email immediately when an agent submits a new property through the User Section. When set to No, new submissions must be checked manually in the Properties list.

Permissions

Who is allowed to submit properties is controlled through Joomla's standard ACL. Go to FW Real Estate → Options → Permissions and configure the relevant user groups for your setup.

To install this addon, open the Add-ons panel inside FW Real Estate. See Getting Started → Add-ons for details on free addons, paid addons, and site verification.
