FWRE Latest Module
FW Real Estate tutorial for Joomla!
The FWRE Latest Module displays a filterable list of properties in any Joomla module position. You can show the newest listings, the most-viewed, or a random selection — and narrow results by category, type, status, or open house availability.
Use Cases
- Homepage featured listings — show the six newest properties in a horizontal slideshow above the fold.
- Category sidebar — display the five most popular properties from a specific category alongside the main listing page.
- Open house highlights — filter to only properties with upcoming open house events to drive attendance.
Creating a Module Instance
Go to Extensions → Modules → New and select FWRE Latest from the module type list. Assign the module to a position, set a title, and configure the parameters below. Save when finished.
Module Parameters

| Module class suffix | — | CSS class suffix appended to the module wrapper for custom styling. |
| Theme | — | Design theme used to render the module output; matches your active FW Real Estate template. |
| Category | — | Filter properties by a specific category. Leave empty to show all categories. |
| Type | — | Filter by property type (Sale, Rent, etc.). |
| Status | — | Filter by status label such as "New" or "Sold". |
| Number of properties | 10 | Maximum number of properties to display. |
| Ordering | Newest | Sort order: Newest, Most Popular (by views), or Random. |
| Display fields | — | Select which fields appear on each property card: title, price, text price, address, status, and open house times. |
| Featured | — | Show all properties, only featured listings, or only non-featured listings. |
| Open house | — | When enabled, restricts output to properties that have upcoming open house events. |
| Load UIkit | Yes | Loads UIkit assets with the module. Disable if UIkit is already loaded by your Joomla template to avoid conflicts. |
| Layout | Vertical | Vertical (stacked list), Horizontal (side-by-side cards), or Slideshow (auto-rotating carousel). |
| Slideshow pause | 10 | Seconds between slide transitions. Only applies when Layout is set to Slideshow. |
Notes
- The module is included with the main FW Real Estate package — no separate download is needed.
- Category, Type, and Status filters can be combined to display a very specific subset of listings.
- When the Open house filter is active, only properties with future open house dates are shown.
