Slideshow View
FW Real Estate tutorial for Joomla!
The FWRE Slideshow View addon adds a slideshow layout to the property listing page. Instead of scrolling through a grid or list, visitors step through properties one at a time in a full-screen view with navigation arrows and optional autoplay.
Use Cases
- Visual browsing — visitors move through properties one by one in a cinematic full-screen view.
- Featured property showcase — display a curated set of listings in a slideshow on a landing page.
Activating the Slideshow Layout
When the addon is active, a Slideshow option appears in the Layout selector inside the Options tab of any Properties Listing menu item. Select it to make the slideshow the default layout for that listing page.
Slideshow View Settings
Configure the slideshow appearance under Settings → General, in the Slideshow View card.
- Thumbnail strip position — where the thumbnail navigation strip appears: Bottom, Left, Right, or None to hide thumbnails entirely.
- Image sizing — Fill crops the image to cover the full slideshow area; Fit letterboxes the image so it is always shown in full.
- Autoplay pause — seconds between automatic slide transitions. Set to 0 to disable autoplay.
- Slideshow height — height of the main slideshow area in pixels.
- Thumbnail size — width and height of each thumbnail in the strip, in pixels.
Notes
- The slideshow layout applies to the listing page only. It does not affect the property detail page or its photo gallery.
- If a property has no images uploaded, its slide is displayed without a photo.
