FW Real Estate – Documentation

The FWRE Watermark addon automatically overlays a watermark on every property photo uploaded to your site. The watermark can be your agency logo, a copyright text string, or both — protecting images from unauthorized reuse and keeping your branding visible even if photos are scraped.

Watermark Settings

All watermark options are found in Settings → General → Watermark. The table below describes each parameter.

• Apply watermark — Enables or disables watermarking globally across all property images.
• Watermark image file — Upload a PNG file to use as your logo watermark. A PNG with a transparent background produces the best results over varied photo backgrounds.
• Watermark text — A text string (for example, © Agency Name) overlaid on images. Can be used alongside an image watermark or on its own.
• Display position — Controls where the watermark appears on each photo. Available positions: Center, Left Top, Right Top, Left Bottom, Right Bottom.

Applying the Watermark to Existing Images

When you first configure the watermark, or after changing any watermark setting, click the Apply Watermark on Images button inside the Watermark settings card. This regenerates the display copies of all existing property gallery images with the current watermark burned in. If you have a large number of property photos, this process may take a few moments to complete.

How Original Images Are Preserved

The original uploaded images are always kept intact on the server. Watermarking is applied only to the display copies — the versions served to site visitors. If you update your logo, change the position, or edit the watermark text, simply press Apply Watermark on Images again and all display copies are regenerated from the originals with the new settings applied. You will never lose the source photos regardless of how many times watermark settings change.

• Brand protection — Overlay your agency logo so scraped images still carry your branding.
• Copyright notice — Add a text watermark to prevent photos being reused without attribution.
• Deterring listing theft — Branded watermarks make it harder for competitors to copy your property photos.
