FW Real Estate – Documentation

The FWRE Social Share addon adds a row of sharing buttons to property detail pages, letting visitors share listings directly to their preferred social networks, messaging apps, or email contacts with a single click.

Supported Networks and Channels

Each of the following channels can be enabled or disabled independently:

• Facebook
• X (formerly Twitter)
• LinkedIn
• WhatsApp
• Telegram
• Pinterest
• SMS — opens the visitor's native messaging app
• Copy Link — copies the property URL to the clipboard
• Email to a friend — opens an in-page modal where the visitor enters a recipient address and optional message
• Web Share API — triggers the native OS share dialog on supported mobile browsers; hidden automatically on unsupported browsers

No API keys or app registrations are required. All share buttons use the standard public share endpoints provided by each platform.

Configuring Social Share

All settings are grouped in the Social Share card inside Settings → General. Toggle each channel on or off to control which buttons appear on property detail pages. Disabling all options hides the share section entirely.

Email to a Friend

When Email to a friend is enabled, visitors see a button that opens an in-page modal rather than the device's default email client. The visitor fills in a recipient address and an optional message, then submits the form. The email is sent server-side and the submission is stored for admin review.

Use the Email share message template field to pre-fill the message body shown in the modal. The following placeholders are supported:

• {property_title} — replaced with the listing title
• {property_url} — replaced with the full URL of the property page

Selective Channel Strategy

Enable only the platforms your target audience actually uses. For example:

• Residential listings — Facebook and WhatsApp tend to drive the most sharing
• Commercial listings — LinkedIn may be more relevant
• Mobile-first audiences — Web Share API and SMS reach visitors on the go

Frontend Appearance

Enabled buttons appear as a row of icons on the property detail page. Each button opens the relevant sharing dialog in a new window or tab, or triggers the appropriate native action (clipboard copy, messaging app, or OS share sheet).
