FW Real Estate – Documentation

The FWRE Contact Form addon extends the built-in property inquiry form with auto-reply emails to buyers, custom qualification fields, and additional controls over form behavior and placement.

The core FW Real Estate component already displays an inquiry form on each property detail page, stores submissions in FW Real Estate → Messages, and sends an admin notification email. This addon builds on that foundation.

What the Addon Adds

• Auto-reply to buyer — sends a confirmation email to the visitor immediately after they submit an inquiry
• Custom contact fields — additional qualification questions (e.g. buyer timeline, financing status) appended to the form; values are saved in Messages and included in the admin notification
• Field requirements — control whether phone, address, and message are optional or mandatory
• Form position — place the form in the right sidebar or at the bottom of the property page
• CRM webhook — forward inquiry data to an external CRM or automation tool via a configurable webhook URL
• Brochure attachment — automatically attach the property's PDF brochure to the auto-reply email (requires the Brochure addon)

Inquiry Management

Every submitted inquiry is saved in FW Real Estate → Messages. Each record shows the visitor's name, email, and phone number; the property the inquiry relates to; the message text; the submission date and time; and a read/unread status indicator.

Settings

Open Settings → Addons tab → Contact Form to configure the addon.

• Phone required — make the phone field mandatory (default: No)
• Address required — make the address field mandatory (default: No)
• Message required — make the message textarea mandatory (default: Yes)
• Form position on property page — choose Hide, Right (sidebar), or Bottom
• Send copy to admin — send a copy of each inquiry to the admin email address set in Settings → General
• Auto-reply to buyer — send a confirmation email to the buyer after form submission (default: No)
• Auto-reply subject — subject line for the confirmation email; supports the variables {property_title} and {name}
• Auto-reply body — HTML body of the confirmation email; supports {property_title}, {name}, and {email}

The admin notification email subject and body are configured separately in Settings → General → Inquiry Email Templates, which applies to all inquiry sources across the component.

If the Agents addon is active, the assigned agent can also receive notification emails for inquiries on their properties. Disabling the Contact Form addon removes the form from all property pages but preserves existing messages in the database.
