The Grid View addon adds a card-based multi-column layout option to your property listing pages. Instead of a vertical list, properties are displayed as equal-size cards with the photo on top, making it easier for visitors to browse many listings at a glance.

What Grid View Adds

Once the addon is active, a Layout parameter becomes available when configuring a Properties Listing menu item. A layout toggle also appears on the frontend listing page, letting visitors switch between list and grid views without navigating away.

Grid view is well suited to image-heavy residential listings where visual appeal drives clicks, and it works alongside all standard listing features including search filters, pagination, featured-on-top ordering, compare checkboxes, and favorites buttons.

Activating the Grid Layout

To use the grid layout on a listing page, open the menu item for your Properties Listing page in the Joomla Menu Manager and locate the Layout parameter. This parameter is only present when the Grid View addon is enabled.

The available layout options are:

• List — the default layout, displaying properties in a vertical list with details beside the photo.
• Grid — a card-based multi-column grid with the photo on top of each card.
• Table — a compact tabular layout, available when the Table layout option is also enabled in the menu item parameters.

Set the parameter to Grid and save the menu item. The listing page will now display properties in grid card format by default.

Column Behaviour

The number of columns adjusts automatically based on screen width and the active design template. A typical configuration shows three columns on desktop, two on tablet, and one on mobile. No additional configuration is required to achieve this responsive behaviour.

Notes

• The Grid View addon has no settings of its own in the Add-ons panel — all configuration is handled through the menu item.
• If the addon is disabled, the Layout parameter is removed from the menu item and only the default list layout is available.
