FW Real Estate – Documentation

The FWRE Layout Anywhere addon embeds a complete property listing — or one property's full detail view — anywhere a block can be placed: inside a page, on the home page, in a sidebar, or inside a page-builder section. Unlike the other modules, which show a single card, a search form, or another slice of a property, this one renders the real thing. Everything the listing page shows, including output from enabled addons, is available here.

Use Cases

• A property section on the home page. Show six featured properties for sale in one city, as a grid, with no dedicated menu item required.
• A landing page per area or type. One page per city or property type, each carrying an embedded listing already scoped to it — visitors can search further within that scope.
• A single property inside an article. Embed one property's detail view in editorial content, such as a "property of the month" write-up or a neighbourhood guide.

Placing the Module on WordPress

Add the FW Real Estate — Module block to any block-editor page or post, then set the module key to layout. Alternatively, insert the shortcode [fwre_module key="layout"] anywhere shortcodes are accepted.

Settings

• Display layout — Listing embeds a full property listing; Single property embeds one property's complete detail view.
• Design (theme) — Which installed design renders the module. Defaults to the site default.
• Layout — The listing layout: List, Grid, Table, Map, or Slideshow. Grid, Map, and Slideshow each require their respective addon.
• Country / Region / City — Scope the listing by location; multiple values are accepted.
• Category / Type — Scope by property category and type; multiple values are accepted.
• Status — Scope by status. Requires the Status Labels addon.
• Featured only — Show all properties, featured only, or non-featured only. Requires the Featured addon.
• Hide property categories — Remove the category field from the embedded listing.
• Description length — Number of characters shown on each card before the description is trimmed. Default: 200.
• Limit properties — How many properties the embedded listing shows. Default: 12.
• Select a property — Which property to display when Display layout is set to Single property.
• Currency — Show prices in a specific currency. Requires the Multi Currency addon.
• Add-on parameters — Per-instance overrides contributed by enabled addons.

Important Notes

• It renders as a block, not a page. The embedded listing deliberately omits the listing page's heading, toolbar, and pagination. The block sits as a section inside your page, and the module's own title serves as the heading.
• Scope filters combine. A single instance can be as specific as "featured apartments for rent in two cities, newest first, six of them, as a grid."
• Single property ignores listing settings. When Display layout is set to Single property, the scope filters, layout selection, and property limit have no effect — only the chosen property's detail view is rendered.
