Open House
The Open House addon adds a viewing schedule to individual property listings. Admins enter specific dates and time windows directly on the property; visitors see upcoming viewing times on the property detail page without needing to contact the agent.
Use Cases
- Open house events — list weekend viewing times for a new listing so interested buyers can show up without an appointment.
- Show home schedule — display recurring weekly viewing slots (e.g. "Every Saturday 10:00–13:00") on the property page.
- Rental inspections — indicate available move-in inspection times for prospective tenants.
Adding Open House Times to a Property
When the addon is active, an Open House section appears within the property edit form. For each viewing slot, complete the following fields:
- Date — the date of the open house event.
- Start time — when the viewing window opens (e.g. 10:00).
- End time — when the viewing window closes (e.g. 13:00).
- Notes — an optional note such as "Bring ID", "Ring the bell", or the attending agent's name.
You can add multiple slots per property. Each slot is saved independently, so you can schedule several viewing sessions across different dates for the same listing.
Frontend Display
The Open House schedule appears as a dedicated section on the property detail page, listing all upcoming viewing times in chronological order. Only future events are displayed — past dates are automatically filtered out. If no open house times have been added to a property, the section does not appear at all.
Settings
This addon has no configurable settings. All schedule information is managed per property inside the property edit form.
Notes
- Dates are entered manually. There is no integration with external calendar systems such as Google Calendar or iCal.
- Past events are hidden automatically on the frontend — no manual clean-up is required.
