FW Real Estate – Documentation

Agents

FW Real Estate tutorial for WordPress

The FWRE Agents addon adds agent profile management to FW Real Estate. You can create agent accounts, assign properties to individual agents, and display agent contact cards on property detail pages and a dedicated agents directory.

Agent Settings

Open Settings → Addons tab → Agents to configure how agents behave across the site.

  • Agents list limit — number of agents displayed per page on the Agents Listing view.
  • Agent approval — set to Manually to require admin approval before new agent profiles go live, or Automatically to publish them immediately.
  • Agent profile block — show or hide the agent contact card on single property pages.
  • Agent position on property — controls where the agent block appears: Right (sidebar), Bottom, or Hide.
  • Agents page menu item — select the Agents Listing menu item used for "View all agents" links throughout the component.

Agent Approval Mode

When Agent approval is set to Manually, newly registered agent profiles appear as unpublished in the admin panel. An administrator must open each profile and publish it before it becomes visible on the frontend. Set this to Automatically if you want registrations to go live without review.

Agent Profiles

Go to FW Real Estate → Agents and click New to create an agent profile. Each profile includes the following fields:

  • Linked user account — connects the agent to an existing WordPress user account, enabling frontend login via the User Section.
  • First / Last name and Photo — displayed on listing and profile pages.
  • Company and Company logo — useful for multi-office agencies.
  • Phone and Email — contact details shown on property pages and the agent directory.
  • Description — full agent biography, supports rich text.
  • Position / Title — job title such as Senior Agent or Branch Manager.
  • Social links — Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn URLs.
  • Published — controls whether the agent appears on the frontend.

Assigning Agents to Properties

When editing a property, an Agent assignment field appears in the property form. Select the appropriate agent to link them to that listing. The assigned agent's contact card then appears on the property detail page.

Agent Block on Property Detail Page

When a property has an assigned agent and the Agent profile block setting is enabled, a contact card is shown on the property detail page. Use the Agent position on property setting to place it in the right sidebar or below the listing content.

Agents Directory

The frontend agents directory displays all published agents with their photo, name, property count, and contact details.

Warning: Deleting Agents

If you disable the Agents addon, the agent assignment field disappears from the property editing form. Existing agent data is preserved in the database and will reappear if the addon is re-enabled. Permanently deleting an agent profile removes the association from any properties previously assigned to them.

To install this addon, open the Add-ons panel inside FW Real Estate. See Getting Started → Add-ons for details on free addons, paid addons, and site verification.
