A walkthrough answers in ninety seconds what a gallery cannot answer at all: how the rooms connect, how big they feel, what the light is like. The FWRE Property Video add-on lets you attach a video to any property page — hosted on YouTube or Vimeo, linked from anywhere, or uploaded to your own site and played directly from it.

Use Cases

• A walkthrough. The commonest and most useful case — one continuous take through the property.
• Drone footage. For land, for a view, or for any property where the setting is the selling point.
• A development film. A produced piece for a new build where there is nothing yet to photograph.

Adding a Video

Once the add-on is enabled, each property form gains a Video card. Three sources are available — use whichever suits the property:

• YouTube or Vimeo ID. Paste the video ID. The player is embedded directly on the property page.
• A direct link. An MP4 or embed URL held anywhere — your CDN, a media server, or any public URL.
• An upload. An MP4, WebM, or MOV file uploaded to the property and played from your own site.

Poster Image

The poster image is the frame displayed before playback starts. It is also the thumbnail search engines use when they index the video. Set it deliberately — the automatic frame a player picks is usually a blur of motion caught mid-transition. A clear, well-composed still of the property is what a visitor decides from before pressing play.

Reach Against Control

Hosting on YouTube or Vimeo costs nothing in bandwidth and works on every device. Uploading to your own site keeps the property page free of another platform's branding and suggested videos. That is the trade-off: reach against control. An uploaded video is stored with the property alongside its photos.

Front End and Structured Data

The video appears on the property page. It also carries into the page's structured data, so a search engine can see that the property has a video and may show it as such in results.
