Slideshow View
The FWRE Slideshow View add-on replaces the standard list or grid with a full-width, one-property-at-a-time slideshow, complete with a thumbnail strip and optional autoplay. It is designed for a small, curated set of properties — six hand-picked listings work as a showreel; twenty become a chore. Use it on a landing page or a featured section, not as the default layout for your entire catalogue.
Use Cases
- Featured showcase. A landing page carrying a handful of flagship properties, each displayed at full width in turn.
- Cinematic browsing. Visitors move through properties one by one rather than scanning a list.
- Single-development page. One project's units, shown large with room to breathe.
Settings
Once the add-on is enabled, its settings are available under Configuration → Add-ons → Slideshow View.

Where the Layout Becomes Available
Enabling the add-on makes Slideshow an available layout wherever a property listing is rendered. Visitors will see it as an option in the listing page's own layout switcher. You can also set it as the fixed layout for a specific page using the Layout option of the FW Real Estate — Listing block, or via the layout attribute of the shortcode — for example, [fw_real_estate layout="slideshow"].
With the add-on disabled, the Slideshow layout is offered nowhere. Any page already set to use it falls back to the list layout automatically.
Notes
- Fill or Fit is a decision about your photography. Fill looks cleaner but crops — a photo whose subject sits off-centre can lose it. Fit never crops but leaves bands beside portrait shots. If your photos are consistently landscape, Fill is the safer choice.
- Autoplay competes with reading. A visitor studying a property does not want it to advance automatically. A longer pause, or a value of 0, is usually the better choice on a page where detail text appears beside the slideshow.
- This is a listing layout only. It has no effect on the property detail page or that page's own gallery.
- Scope the page to a chosen few. Pairing the Slideshow layout with a Listing block filtered to featured properties keeps the slideshow tight and purposeful, rather than cycling through your entire catalogue.
