Property Manager

FW Real Estate tutorial for WordPress

What Property Manager Does

The FWRE Property Manager addon lets registered users and agents submit and manage their own property listings from the frontend, without needing access to the WordPress admin area. Administrators retain full control, with the option to review and approve submissions before they go live.

Frontend My Properties Section

When the addon is active, logged-in users with the appropriate permissions see a My Properties section inside the frontend User Section. To expose this area on your site, add a menu item of type FW Real Estate → User Section.

From the My Properties section, a logged-in agent can:

  • View a list of their own properties along with each listing's publish status
  • Add a new property using a full property edit form
  • Edit or delete their existing properties

Agent Submission Workflow

When an agent submits a property through the frontend form, it appears immediately in the FW Real Estate → Properties list in the admin panel. The property's publish state when it arrives depends on your review process — the admin can then inspect, edit, and publish or unpublish it before it appears publicly on the site.

Who is permitted to submit properties is controlled through the component's Permissions tab in the component options. Adjust user group permissions there to restrict or open up submission access as needed.

Settings

Property Manager settings are found under Settings → Addons tab.

  • Notify about new property — when set to Yes, the admin receives an email immediately each time an agent submits a new property through the User Section. When set to No, the admin must check the Properties list manually for new submissions.

Use Cases

  • Agent self-service portal — agents add, edit, and remove their own listings independently, reducing admin workload.
  • Moderated submissions — a portal operator reviews every submitted property before publication, maintaining consistent listing quality.
  • Multi-agent agency — each agent manages only their own listings while admins have oversight across all properties.

To install this addon, open the Add-ons panel inside FW Real Estate. See Getting Started → Add-ons for details on free addons, paid addons, and site verification.
