What the 3D Tour Add-on Does

The 3D Tour add-on embeds a virtual tour or 360° panorama directly on the property page. A virtual tour is the closest thing to a physical viewing your website can offer — and it filters. A buyer who has walked a property virtually and still books an appointment is a serious buyer. A buyer who rules it out has saved you both an afternoon.

Use Cases

• Fewer, better viewings. Buyers arrive pre-qualified. They have already decided they like the property; they are coming to confirm, not to browse.
• Distant and overseas buyers. Someone who cannot visit in person will not commit without seeing the space properly. A virtual tour removes that barrier entirely.
• Show homes and new builds. Scan the show unit once; every identical plot on the development benefits from the same tour without any additional scanning cost.

Adding a Tour to a Property

When the add-on is active, the property form gains a 3D Tour / Panorama card. Paste the URL your tour provider supplied and save. The add-on handles the embed automatically.

The add-on is provider-neutral — anything embeddable by URL works, whether that is a Matterport scan, a hosted panorama, or any other service. You are not locked to one scanning company and can change supplier without touching the site.

How It Appears on the Front End

• The tour appears in its own section on the property page, separate from the photo gallery.
• A marker appears on the listing card in search results, so visitors can see which properties have a virtual tour before they click through. This is what makes the investment in scanning visible at the point where buying decisions begin.

A property with no tour URL shows no tour section — nothing blank or broken appears on the page.

Practical Notes

• The tour is hosted by your provider, not your site. If a provider subscription lapses, the embed stops working but the rest of the property page continues normally. The result is a blank section rather than a broken page.
• Scan selectively. A tour is an additional cost per property. On a mixed portfolio it earns its place at the high-value end and on properties that are difficult to convey through photography alone — unusual layouts, exceptional views, large floor plates.
