FW Real Estate – Documentation

Quick Start Guide

FW Real Estate tutorial for WordPress

Quick Start Guide

Four steps take you from a freshly installed FW Real Estate to a working property site. Work through them in order — each one builds on the last.

Step 1 — Connect Your Website

Until the site is connected to your fastw3b.com account, the FW Real Estate admin header shows a verification banner. Click Connect. You are redirected to the fastw3b.com client section, which registers your domain and sends you straight back — the key is applied automatically. There is nothing to copy and no field to fill in.

Once connected, the header confirms your account, verified domain, subscription state and support state. On WordPress, connecting does not install or download anything. What it unlocks is:

  • Updates for your subscription pack, offered through the standard WordPress Plugins screen
  • The add-on catalogue on FW Real Estate → Add-ons
  • Language packs, available from FW Real Estate → Translation
  • Support access, if your subscription includes it

Step 2 — Enable the Add-ons You Need

Go to FW Real Estate → Add-ons. The free add-ons ship inside the plugin and are already available — just switch on the ones you want. A disabled add-on is genuinely absent: its fields disappear from the property form and its output disappears from the front end. Enable only what you use.

If you have a paid subscription, your paid add-ons are delivered as a single separate WordPress plugin — a pack. Download it from your fastw3b.com client area, then install it via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. The pack appears as a plugin in the WordPress Plugins screen; the individual add-ons it carries do not appear there separately. Once installed, switch individual add-ons on or off from the Add-ons screen as normal.

Step 3 — Create the Front-Office Pages

FW Real Estate does not create any pages for you. You create them in WordPress and place the appropriate block or shortcode on each one. The plugin finds these pages automatically by detecting the block or shortcode — nothing needs to be registered.

A standard site needs these pages:

  • Properties page — add the FW Real Estate — Listing block, or the shortcode [fw_real_estate]. This page shows the search form and the property listing.
  • Property page — add the same block set to type = item with no fixed property selected, or the shortcode [fw_real_estate type="item"]. Every listing card links here to show the property detail.
  • My Account page (optional) — add the FW Real Estate — User Section block, or [fwre_usersection]. This gives visitors access to favourites, saved searches, comparison and the property manager.
  • Agents page (optional, requires the Agents add-on) — add the FW Real Estate — Agents block, or [fwre_agents].

You can rename or move these pages at any time — property links continue to work because the plugin identifies pages by their block or shortcode, not by a slug or ID.

Step 4 — Add Your First Property

Go to FW Real Estate → Properties and click New. The property form opens with several tabs.

Fill in the basics on the Primary tab: title, description, location (country, region, city, street) and price. Switch to Property Info for bedrooms, bathrooms, type and category. Use the Media tab to upload photos.

Set the publication state to Published and save. Visit your Properties page to confirm the listing appears.

Tip: add your countries, regions and cities in FW Real Estate → Dictionaries before creating properties — the address fields are a cascade, and a city must have its region before it can be selected.
